Serving Like Jesus
SERVE is the third part of our church's God-given vision, which involves serving others passionately and even sacrificially with our God-given gifts so that Christians keep on growing up spiritually and non-Christians are drawn to Jesus so that they might be saved. To this end, our goal is to see every member serving. Please see below for some of the many opportunities that exist to serve!
A Few Ways to Serve
Hospitality
Do you enjoy cooking and serving people food? Or do you enjoy helping people feel at home? Then consider serving with our Food Committee (please contact Anne B for more info) or our team of ushers (please contact Paul W for more info).
Sound Booth
Our sound team is a vital behind-the-scenes ministry, especially on Sunday mornings. For more info on what's involved and how you may serve on this team, please get in touch with our head of sound, Jeremy B.
Decorations
Do you enjoy decorating? Then you'll love serving with our Decorations Committee! Please get in touch with Kristi S for more info, especially around Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving!
Maintenance
Do you enjoy fixing or cleaning things? Then perhaps you'd like to serve with our team who cares for the buildings and land God has entrusted to us. Please connect with our Admin Committee Chair, Dave F, for more info!
Finance
Are you great with numbers? Then perhaps you could serve with our Finance Committee to manage the church budget. For more info, please get in touch with our Treasurer, Shaun U.
Prayer Chain
Our prayer team within our church is devoted to praying, especially for those in need! To serve on this vital team and receive regular prayer updates, please speak with an elder.
CSB
Christian Service Brigade (CSB) is a Christ-centered discipleship program for boys. Please connect with Joe S or our church's office for more information on what CSB is and how you may get involved.
GEMS
Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior (GEMS) is a Christ-centered discipleship program for girls. Please connect with our church's office for more information on what GEMS is and how you may get involved.
Missions & Evangelism
Do you have an especially heavy burden for the unsaved? Then perhaps you should serve with our Missions Committee or Outreach Committee to advance the gospel! For more info, please connect with either Steve M or Cindy F.
The Bridge
The Bridge is a Christian outreach ministry located in the heart of Saskatoon. On occasion, a team from our church helps out in various ways. For more info, please connect with Aimee W.
Worship Music Teams
We're always looking for godly musicians who can help to lead God's people in worship, especially Sunday mornings. If you'd like to be involved, please connect with an elder.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies--in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
