Our Worship Services
WORSHIP is the first element of our God-given vision, which involves treasuring and putting on display in all of life the incomparable worth of the God of the Bible. To this end, our goal as a church is every member attending worship services faithfully. Our first service in our new building at 324 West Service Road in Hague will be on October 11. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services look a bit different right now. For more information on what you can expect, please see below.
What to Expect
When You Arrive:
Please enter through the main front door. Inside the main doors, you will find a table with hand sanitizer, disposable masks, Bibles, and offering envelopes. Feel free to take or use from this table whatever you need. For those with young children, there will be activity packages available underneath the table (which don't need to be returned). Then, we ask that you immediately find a place to sit either in the sanctuary or in the fellowship hall (overflow seating). Seating has been arranged following the 2-metre social distancing rule.
Once You're Inside:
Once you're seated, we kindly ask that you remain seated for the duration of the service. Our services generally include announcements, prayers, singing, and some teaching from the Bible. If you wish to sing, we encourage you to wear a mask, according to our government guidelines. You do not need to wear a mask when you're not singing, although you may do so. If you do not want to wear a mask while singing, you may hum along with the music and enjoy the singing of others. Those who are under six years of age, those who have an underlying (non Covid-19 related) health condition that makes it difficult to breath, and those who do not wish to sing, do not need to wear a mask. Restrooms will be available, but we ask that you maintain 2-metre social distancing and practice good personal hygiene.
An offering will not be collected during the service. However, there is a tithing box available in the foyer.
Childcare will not be available at this time. Children will be expected to remain seated in the sanctuary during the whole service with adult supervision. If children make a little bit of noise during the service, it's okay! We expect it will be difficult for some children to sit quietly through the whole service! The services will be designed with this in mind.
Length of the Service:
For the time being, the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m.
What to Wear:
We're a pretty casual church. A few people dress up, but most of us wear jeans and, at this time of the year, shorts. Please wear whatever feels comfortable to you and, most importantly, honouring to the Lord.
At this time, there is no Sunday School. This will resume on Sunday, October 18.
Radio & Online Formats:
Services will not be live-streamed. However, if you're parked immediately outside our church building, you should be able to hear the service on your radio on 90.5 FM. Please let us know if this signal does not work. Also, an audio recording will be made available on this website after the service.
Questions or Concerns?
Please contact our main office. We'd be happy to hear from you.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
